Last week I headed down to Earls Court to exhibit at exciting new interiors show, Home. Being its first year I was a little anxious about what to expect – especially after deciding less than a month before to sign up for it! I spoke to lots of interesting buyers, interior designers, commissioners and press – with the general consensus being that the show was very well received and that it ran perfectly alongside Top Drawer.

I really enjoyed the show, and would like to say thank you to everyone who stopped by the stand, and also to my lovely assistants Perdeep, Ashlee and Alex (thanks for the above photo too!)

Towards the end of last year I collaborated with New York based design studio Hoffman Creative to illustrate their 2011 Holiday Card.

Having first worked with the team on a Johnson & Johnson project in 2009, I received their beautiful holiday cards for the next 2 Christmases – which were always a collaboration with a designer or illustrator.

I was thrilled when it was decided to partner up together on their 2011 card. The brief was to utilise their letterpress header paper and create an unexpected, not strictly Christmas themed illustration that would pop out on the viewer. The end result was a bouquet of winter flora, with the focal being a Pink Perpétue rose, surrounded by sprigs of the star-like Fatsia Japonica.

I’m happy to announce we will be exhibiting at the exciting new homewares and interiors show, Home. Running alongside Top Drawer at Earls Court it’s sure to be a busy few days, so we’ll be making the trip down with wallpapers, fabrics, cushions and accessories aplenty.

I thought I’d share with you some of the imaginative and contrasting ways wallpaper can be used.

Earlier this year I was contacted by Lynne of Tea for Joy to create an autumnal themed illustration for her online shop Papermash. After a few rounds of ideas we settled on the above, a mixture of leaves from Oak, Horse Chestnut, Sycamore and Hazel trees, as well as cobnuts, acorns and catkins.

After deciding on some autumnal colours, the illustration was then sent off to be letterpress printed in a limited edition of 112.

The prints are now available online from Papermash.

The books are covered in 100% cotton, and contain 58 pages of quality plain cartridge paper – ideal to use as a sketchbook, diary, or notebook.

As with all of my products, the books are manufactured (and the cotton printed) in England.

Earlier this year I worked with London-based brand identity company Smith & Milton on a project designing the patterns for three luxury Christmas fragrance ranges by Crabtree & Evelyn. You can see more here.

I really enjoyed working with the design team at Smith & Milton, and it was refreshing challenge to work on a range of patterns a little out of my comfort zone.
