Earlier this year I met with Alex Claridge of The Warehouse Cafe to discuss ideas for the cover design of a new magazine he was behind, Edible Brum, which celebrates the food related happenings in Birmingham.

Sharing a mutual love for archival botanical illustrations, I set to work on drawing out and creating a pattern of various produce that would tie in with the Spring launch.

Design and layout is by the talented Rebecca Emery of One Sugar Please.

Commission: Hoffman Creative Holiday Cards

Towards the end of last year I collaborated with New York based design studio Hoffman Creative to illustrate their 2011 Holiday Card.

Having first worked with the team on a Johnson & Johnson project in 2009, I received their beautiful holiday cards for the next 2 Christmases – which were always a collaboration with a designer or illustrator.

I was thrilled when it was decided to partner up together on their 2011 card. The brief was to utilise their letterpress header paper and create an unexpected, not strictly Christmas themed illustration that would pop out on the viewer. The end result was a bouquet of winter flora, with the focal being a Pink Perpétue rose, surrounded by sprigs of the star-like Fatsia Japonica.

I’m happy to announce we will be exhibiting at the exciting new homewares and interiors show, Home. Running alongside Top Drawer at Earls Court it’s sure to be a busy few days, so we’ll be making the trip down with wallpapers, fabrics, cushions and accessories aplenty.
